St. Paul's Episcopal Church

"Life is short and we have too little time to gladden the hearts of those who travel the way with us. Be swift to love. Make haste to be kind.” Henri Frederic Amiel, a 19th century Swiss philosopher

Thomas Christopher Anderson
Stained Glass Chalice Window

This window was created by Judy Marshall of LeRoy, Illinois in memory of our son
Thomas Christopher Anderson, who died in an automobile accident. "It is of the
stalks of life for bread, grapes for sweet wine, and beams of dark light surrounding
a challis in belief for a better life in the here after."

Tom was a wonderful young man, so full of life and plans for the future. He liked
sports, especially baseball. He was a NASCAR fan. He grew up on a farmette with
horses, sheep, cows, rabbits, and dogs; he loved his animals and showing them in 4-H.

He and his father had just finished helping his brother Jeff build a home. There
just wasn't anything he (they) could not do if they put their heads together.

Tom was in the "Who's Who" Book of High School Graduates and received a Kiwanis
Scholarship to Kishwaukee College.  He worked as a UPS driver and was engaged to be
married. At the age of 25, he died in an automobile accident on Palm Sunday,
April 9, 1995. Art work commissioned by his parents, Jack & Rita Anderson.
