During Lent our Wednesday celebrations of the Holy Eucharist will be at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
IMAGINING with Diana Butler Bass: Imagine spending time with Diana Butler Bass, the author of such insightful books as The Practicing Congregation and The People's History of Christianity! Saturday March 13, Butler Bass will give a presentation centered on her latest work, A People's History of Christianity, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The session begins at 10 A.M. and is intended for all members of the diocesan community and the public. The day includes lunch and ends at 2 p.m. Registration fee is $20. In the event of a winter storm on a weekend, the rector and senior warden will decide if Sunday services should be cancelled. Call the church at 815 756 4888 and let it ring until you hear the voice mail greeting. It will be updated by 10 p.m. on Saturday in the event of a cancellation.

Music Program Notes: Join the St. Paul’s Adult & Youth Choir for fun and fellowship, as well as to sing for the late Sunday service and many church feast days. We are preparing for Holy Week and Easter. The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings 7-9 p.m. All are welcome!
BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE UPDATE : Today is the day! Ellen Anderson, Bob Lastick, Gail & Jennifer Sitzes and Maureen Gerrity will "Bowl for Kids' Sake" at 4:30 p.m. at Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb. Jennie Cummings is hoping to join us as well. Cheerleaders are welcome to come and support “Team St. Paul”! This is always a fun afternoon! If you would like to sponsor a bowler, see any member of our team. All proceeds go toward the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. We are hoping to top last year’s $455 total!
Mark your calendars for St. Paul's Annual Chili Cook-Off and Potluck on Sunday, March 21st following the 10:30 service. Join us for great food, fellowship, and a little laughter as our esteemed panel of judges decides who "holds all the beans" - prizes will be awarded to the top 2 contenders! We also need several people to sign up to bring desserts, drinks, non-chili entrees and chili toppings. Flowers for Easter: Time to think about your dedication of altar flowers. Potted spring plants are available with a $18.00 donation. You may take your plant home after the 9 a.m. service on Easter Day. Sunday floral dedications will begin again on Sunday, April 11. The sign up sheet is in the parish hall. Please remember that a donation of $25.00 per Sunday is requested for each Sunday dedication.
