The Cross in our logo represents Christ and our service to Him in the world. The Circle stands for our hope for wholeness in our lives. The out flowing lines from the center depict the many works of the Episcopal Church Women going out into the world. The intertwined lines represent our lives centered in Christ.

We are Episcopal Church Women of all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds who hold a variety of views. However, the common denominator of our members is love of God and the wish to do His work.
Our main fundraising venture at St. Paul's is the Lobster Boil. We donate to local charities. Recently, donations were made to the following organizations: St. Paul's Church, Safe Passage, Hope Haven, Family Service Agency, The Growing Place, The Children’s Learning Center, DeKalb County Home Auxiliary, The Voluntary Action Center, Habitat for Humanity, and the DeKalb County Hospice. The ECW facilitates activities that foster fellowship in the parish and enhance St. Paul’s outreach efforts.
ECW members meet at area restaurants, in individual homes or the parish hall for lunch nearly every month with an average of 10 - 15 women participating. These are wonderful gatherings and all women in the parish are invited to participate. Sign up sheets are always on the table in the parish hall. Many of our members continue to participate in the DeKalb County Hospice BUNS (Baking Up Nice Surprises), which solicits bakers and delivers the treats to Hospice three times a year. In addition, we contribute for general parish support and to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund.

The ECW is a national organization (http://www.nationalecw.org) of women within the Episcopal Church who effect the church's mission through a range of programs including prayer and outreach. In Virginia, there is a chapter in almost every church, though not all use the ECW name. In 1872, women of the church formed the National Women's Auxiliary as a way to take part in church life. The national organization connected provincial, diocesan (http://www.ecwchicago.org/) and parish branches, enabling women to apply their energy and imagination to church life in a range of ways and bringing our leadership skills into the church. In 1958 the Auxiliary was renamed the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) to recognize the fact that women are an integral part of the church's life. The ECW in the Diocese of Virginia - over 100 years old - has a long, strong tradition of offering spiritual, financial and physical support for a host of parish, regional and diocesan programs.
