St. Paul's Episcopal Church

My name is Sarah Schaffner and I have recently been called to the interim pastor position at Grace Place! I am so excited to begin this new journey--one where us crazy Lutherans and Episcopalians seek to serve and guide the young people at NIU. Currently, I am also called as part-time pastor to First Lutheran, Lee, where I have served a small, rurual, community-focused congregation for five years. I am married to another ELCA pastor, Steve Dow, who serves Faith Lutheran, Rochelle. We have three children: Isaac (10), Evelyn (7), and Elijah (4), and spend a majority of our time at soccer and football fields. I cannot imagine all the opportunites to which God is calling Grace Place and St. Paul's, but I am so excited to see what unfolds!
