The Lobster Boil is one of
    St. Paul’s yearly activities and
projects held in May. The Lobster
boil started in 1967, when the
people of St. Paul’s wanted to
    contribute to the community at
large. Half of the proceeds from
the annual Lobster Boil, our main
    fund-raising event, are distributed
    to local service organizations:

Money from our proceeds was sent
    to the following organizations
    and charities:

   · Safe Passage
   · Children’s Learning Center
   · DeKalb County Nursing Home Foundation
   · DeKalb County Hospice
   · Habitat for Humanity
   · Family Service Agency
   · The Growing Place

2011 Lobster Boil Proceeds - Episcopoal Church Women

For over forty years St. Paul’s Episcopal Church has held the Lobster Boil, an annual fundraising event that supports both the church and the surrounding community. As a part of our tradition, half of the proceeds of the Lobster Boil are donated to local social service organizations that directly help people who are in need. On Friday, April 29, 2011, ten local social service organizations were awarded close to $500 each, including: 4-C, DeKalb County American Red Cross, Love In the Name of Christ, Safe Passage, Hope Haven, Voluntary Action Center, Family Service Agency, DeKalb County Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, and DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center Auxiliary. These organizations address the diverse issues our community faces (i.e. homelessness, poverty, abuse, crisis) with thoughtfulness and compassion, and St. Paul’s is proud to support them. This year’s Lobster Boil was held on Saturday, May 21.
