The holiday season is often called “the most wonderful time of the year”. Yet for many people the holiday season is a difficult time, marked by stress and loneliness. Broken relationships, ill health, unemployment, the loss of a loved one - all of these can leave people feeling ‘blue’ in the midst of the society around us which seems focused on being happy and celebrating. It is at such times that we need to acknowledge our sadness and concern and know that we are not alone.
