"Life is short and we have too little time to gladden the hearts of those who travel the way with us. Be swift to love. Make haste to be kind.” Henri Frederic Amiel, a 19th century Swiss philosopher

St. Paul's Pet Blessing Ceremony 2010  TBA

Below is information and pictures
from our October 4th, 2009 Pet Blessing Ceremony

Image:

St. Paul's first annual pet blessing ceremony was held on the bright sunny afternoon of October 4th 2009, in celebration of the feast of St. Francis.

Fourteen dogs and a cockatiel were blessed by the Reverend Gwynne Wright. The dogs and the cockatiel all enjoyed dog biscuits while their humans enjoyed lemonade and cookies.

Pet blessing celebrations have been held in many churches through the centuries on or near October 4, the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, who loved all God's creatures.

The service was free and open to all. Thank you to all who participated and helped. We hope you join us next year. Thanks to all who shared their photos. A special thank you to Bob Lastick & Rochelle Cripe for their on the scene photography.
